The middle school years are a time when students face many challenges. At St. Joseph School, these challenges are met by providing students opportunities to explore and strengthen their abilities in academics, participate in extracurricular activities, and partake in social and service experiences, all in a nurturing environment.
Enable teachers to really understand the strengths and abilities of their students while using many multimedia approaches to learning that appeal to this age group, from Smartboards to iPads.
Whether it be joining the school's soccer, basketball, or pep squad teams, being a member of the cast or crew of our annual play production, or partaking in one of our numerous clubs. Some include band, writing for the school newspaper, or being a member of our student council.
This naturally occurs as they prepare school prayer services and Masses, attend biannual SJS middle school theme dinners and dances, and work together on service projects helping others in our parish, community, and sometimes the world!
SJS offers all these opportunities and more for our 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students, which enables students to be challenged in the classroom and develop their own likes and interests, all while strengthening their self-esteem and giving them the tools they will need for high school and their future.
